Finishing new works, framing, packing, shipping, etc… A bit of a rush around here, but it should be down to a dull roar soon. My family and I are preparing for our exhibits out West this month and just putting the finishing touches on new paintings for the shows. (I finished my last painting for the events about 1/2 hr ago..
)
This is a snapshot of the first collection of smaller paintings that were framed – 16″x20″ and smaller. I hope some of you can make it to the shows at in and and I in Livingston (), MT. …would love to see you there!!
(If you aren’t able to make it in person, I plan to be posting some snapshots too.
)

This is a new traditional miniature that will debut at the Thomas Gilcrease Museum’s invitational “American Art in Miniature” this Fall in Tulsa, Oklahoma. If you have a chance to attend the opening, it is a beautiful event.
I have had the opportunity to attend several times. A wonderful evening…mingling with patrons and fellow artists in the exhibit..and so many beautiful pieces to enjoy.
The show features works on paper, sculptures, and paintings no larger than 9×12 (or 12″ in any direction for sculpture).
This painting is 9×12 and, and like my other paintings, watercolor on board. Seeing this wolf was a bit haunting, but inspiring as well. I really loved painting the intensity of the eyes.

Just a quick post-
I just received notice that my painting “Wacipi Maiden” has been chosen for the International Guild of Realism’s Fifth Annual Juried Exhibition at the J. Willott Gallery in Palm Desert, California.
Quite honored to be among the 53 works chosen from more than 300 works submitted by members. The exhibit opens in Early 2010.
