.
These are two new paintings I am working on at the moment “Trail Mix – Red Squirrel” (5×7) and “Wistful – Timberwolf” (Approximately 8×10). Both are pictured here in the sepia stage.
I have a large body of new work that will be distributed later this summer and fall at various galleries and exhibitions. …so more to come shortly.

Another thing…how exactly do you get that fine pencil-like texture w/a paintbrush? All I've ever gotten with a brush is sharpie-like lines. Anything finer, it takes FOREVER, and never shows up over the brighter colors. Is it the quality of the brush?….well, that's what makes you the Master and us, the Amateurs! hehehe

I love squirrels, too. We have quite a few of them that have decided that they own the backyard and fiercely defend their turf.
I love the personality. …just had to paint one.

It's a brush with a very fine tip…and yes, it does seem like it takes forever. lol …takes a lot of strokes to show up, too. Mostly persistence I think.
