These wonderful little guys were so lively, they were hard to keep up with. The reference for this painting was taken when they finally stopped together long enough to get this great shot. It is so very special to be able to experience first hand these beautiful animals.

A young wolf pup is an irresistible subject. Full of non-stop energy, they explore their world with excitement, missing nothing of their surroundings. Something catching his eye, he stops for a brief moment to check it out with a glance in it’s direction.

Latham Studios has been signed by Hadley House! Earlier this year we were approached by the company and now things have been finalized. We are excited to be able to share our images with an even larger audience!

This painting, "Northwoods Dawn", was selected for the Arts for the Parks 2006 "Miniature 100" exhibition. It sold at the event. Unfortunately, this show has now been discontinued after 20 years of excellent artwork. It will be missed by many artists and collectors.

Today I’m trying to finish up a number of miniature paintngs (about 2" x 3"). We are sending them off in about a week for a holiday gallery show. We are also finishing up plans for our own annual holiday show in December. More about that later.
It looks like we’ll be doing miniatures for a very long time. We have such a great response and demand for them as well as our larger paintings. It’s hard to keep up, but that’s a good problem to have as an artist!

Such a busy week!! We sent off our first paintings exhibited with TWASI near London, England. They have been great to work with and so nice to make it possible for us to be included in this exhibition.

Just taking a break from a very busy schedule to finally write an entry. We have an unbelievable number of paintings to complete in a very short period of time for our next 2 shows and some commissions. It’s a good thing we like what we do!!
I am finishing up a large swan painting to be shipped Monday. Hopefully I will get time to post it later. It is a commission from the NY city area.
We have completed so many new pieces, we haven’t had much time this summer to put them on the website, so please be patient…they will eventually show up!
