Congratulations!!
Karen Latham has been named the 2005 "Artist of the year" by the Minnesota State Ducks Unlimited.  One of Karen's painted images (now in progress) will be featured as the state's sponsor print.
Minnesota Duck Unlimited has also chosen Rebecca as the 2006 and Bonnie as 2007 "Artist of the Year".

Congratulations to Karen & Rebecca!!
Karen and Rebecca Latham exhibited their watercolor paintings in the British Society of Miniaturists Summer Exhibition in Ilkly, West Yorkshire, England. The show is known as the largest exhibition of original paintings in Britain. Karen was awarded the "Polymers Plus" prize for runner up in the exhibition. The award is given to the artist who best represents, with his/her work on show at the exhibition, the true art and age of this very exact and ancient art of miniature painting at it's very best. Rebecca was awarded the "Rowland Hilder Shield" award. The shield is presented annually to the artist who, in the opinion of the society, has painted over the past year, the watercolor paintings which are the most evocative of the true British watercolor tradition. This prize is presented in memory of the great master of English watercolor landscape, Rowland Hilder OBE.

Congratulations to Bonnie!!
"Morning Beauty - Mute Swan" was awarded an Award of Excellence at the 16th International Miniature Art Exhibit in Millburn, NJ.  The exhibit shows approx. 700 works by artists from around the world and awards less than 20 of them.  This is Bonnie's second year participating in the exhibition.

Congratulations to Karen & Rebecca!!
"V is for Viking - a Minnesota Alphabet", Karen & Rebecca's (illustrators) first children's book, was awarded the Northeastern Minnesota Book Award in Non-fiction & a cash prize.  The award was chosen from 18 nominated books.
